20181215 – Saturday – Inc Cafe

The number plate on my trailer has the paint worn off.

I didn’t know what to do about it.

I did’t have any white paint and although I knew that I only had to go to a Government service centre to purchase a new one, that would mean I would have to take the number plate off which I didn’t want to do.

I searched my GPS for somewhere to buy some paint and found “Art to Art,” at Harbour Town.

The suggestion was that I just buy a pencil full of paint and paint the number plate myself.

That sounded pretty good to me, so that’s what I did.

I simply painted the white parts around the black numbers and the job was done.

It looks pretty good too.

Little jobs like this I used to take in my stride, but everything takes longer now.

Longer because of over-thinking everything, and also because I have to work out how far I have to walk with my walker to each of these places.

I can’t wait till the kingdom when all these things won’t be a problem to me any more.

I also decided to have my hair cut yesterday.

The though of going to Victor Harbour or wherever I choose to go with my hair so thick against my neck was not a good idea.

So now my hair is short, and it feels so much better.

I have a little man at Marlborough street Henley Beach who cuts my hair for $25.

He is an excellent cutter.

He is an Italian, married to a German woman.

He has been married for many years, quite happily, he tells me, though all his friends warned him that his marriage wouldn’t last because he and she were so different.

He says that his marriage has lasted BECAUSE they are so different.

He used to be a very good soccer player he told me.

I love hearing the stories people have to tell.

I have always wanted to write a book, but never have.

Why?

Because I have left it too late and I don’t have enough time, and it is more important to me now that I spend my days learning more about God, and connecting with my friends.

And long ago found that I dont’ do two tasks well.

You can’t serve two masters. .

Darren asked me to put up photos of the insulation in my trailer, so that is why I have put trailer photos.

I LOVE my trailer.

I think I will leave for Port Elliott and Victor Harbour maybe on Monday.

I will park my trailer at the Port Elliott show grounds.

The cost will only be around 25 per night and there is usually plenty of room so I won’t have to book.

If the weather is good I will be able to work away sitting at my tailgate which doubles as a table and if it is bad, I will find a cafe or a MacDonalds and have a coffee and work there.

I will pack my lunch each day so I won’t be spending a lot.

Anyway I was expecting my trailer insulation to cost $500 but they only charged me $350 so I am left with more $$ than I expected.

I just ordered a drink which has tropical juice, mango, banana, coconut milk and ice which is definitely not on my diet, but I felt like it today.

Sorry Darren!
