Of Love, Lust, and Lechery from the Wisdom of the Sages.

1. Constant love is a principal Virtue.
2. Without love, no Virtue can be perfect.
3. There are two kinds of Love: the one Natural, and the other Heavenly.
4. The good Lover loves his Soul better than his body.
5. The evil Lover loves his body; and not his Soul.
6. The love of a Fool is more offensive than pleasant.
7. Love cannot be mingled with fear.
8. Love is the business of loiterers.
9. He that lacks Love ought not to be regarded.
10. Repentance is the end of filthy Love.
11. There is nothing so dark, but that Love espieth.
Love leaves no danger unattempted.
12. Too much dSelf-Love is the cause of all evil.
13. Lust is a lordly and disobedient thing.
14. Of all things, the newest is the best; save of Love and Friendship: which the elder it waxes is even the better.
15. Dishonor, Shame, Evil End, and Damnation, wait upon Lechery, and all other like vices.
16. Likeness of Manners makes Loe steadfast and perfect.
17. It is not possible to do anything well, without Love.
18. It is not possible for that servant to be diligent, that loves not his Master.
