20190813 – Tuesday – Jetty Road

Today is a beautiful sunny day! The first in simply ages.

I am sitting by the window at the Grange Jetty Road cafe overlooking the Jetty and the deep blue sea, not a grey sea but a blue sea!

How wonderful it is!

This morning my cleaner, Lyn came and cleaned my unit, and after that I took a taxi to Grange.

Jeff will be picking me up at 2 pm to go to my physio session at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

In the meantime I have been listening to the audio NIV version of Deuteronomy.

So that is my day, all mapped out for me.

On Sunday Izzy QUIXLEY got baptised at “South”.

Andrew Q has put up all the photos of that wonderful occasion on Facebook.

How grateful I am for Facebook, because there is so much of life I would miss out on if we didn’t have it.

I have been very frustrated because I have discovered that my computer is no longer recognizing my hard drive.

After having written nothing of my story for such a long time I have just completed chapter 14 and intended to begin chapter 15 and needed data from the diary on my hard drive, but no hard drive!!

I rang up my dear friend Tim C who with foresight has a copy of my hard drive at his home.

I asked him if he could copy my diary to a USB stick so I can continue writing my story!

With my present difficulties with typing because of my stroke it is not going to be easy to keep trying, but I can but try! I will have to record it , not type.

So much has changed in my life since April this year!

If I do keep writing, I will have you in mind Marilyn C, because I know you have followed my story right from the start.

I have quite gone off of Tim Mackie’s talks because his speaking style is too “flip” for me, I like a more respectful approach to Scriptural, I find.

Though I still love his animation of the books of the Bible.

I have decided to go back to listening to the NIV of the Bible.

It is just lovely here today!

I love looking at the dunes, the Jetty and the brilliance of the ocean against the paleness of the sky.
