This morning my good friend Colleen  R called around. 

We drove to my favourite place, Grange Jetty cafe, and soon were sitting overlooking the dunes with the Jetty stretching out in front of us.

The sea was a brilliant blue reminding us of God. 

I so enjoyed our conversation together which was all god-focused.

Colleen and I are both ENFPs on the Meyers Briggs scale so we understand each other very well.

I love our conversations together.

Over the last few nights I have listened to the whole of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus and Numbers and I have been thinking about the overview I have gained.

The creation of Adam and Eve, The fall, Cain and Abel, From Adam to Noah, wickedness in the world, Noah and the flood, God’s covenant with Noah, the sons of Noah, the table of Nations, the Tower of Babel, from Shem to Abraham, Abram’s family, the call of Abram, Abram in Egypt, Abram and Lot separate Abram rescues Lot the Lord’s covenant with Abram, Hagar and Ishmael,the covenant of circumcision, the three visitors Abraham pleads for Sodom, Sodom and Gomorrah destroyed, Lot and his daughters, Abraham and Abimelek, the birth of Isaac, Hagar and Ishmael sent away,the treaty at Beersheba Abraham tested, Nahor’s  sons, the death of Sarah, Isaac and Rebekah, the death of Abraham, Ishmael’s  sons, Jacob and Esau, Isaac and Abimelek, Jacob takes Esau’s blessing, Jacob’s dream at Bethel, Jacob arrives in Padan Aram, Jacob marries Leah and Rachel, Jacob’s children, Jacob’s flocks increase, Jacob flees from Laban, Laban pursues Jacob, Jacob prepares to meet Esau, Jacob wrestles with God, Jacob meets Esau, Dinah and the Shechemites, Jacob returns to Bethel, the death of Rachel and Isaac, the rulers of Edomite, Joseph’s dream, Joseph sold by hi s brethren, Judah and Tamar, Joseph and Potiphar’s wife, the cupbearer and the baker, Pharaoh’s dreams, Joseph in charge of Egypt,Joseph’s brothers go to Egypt, the second journey to Egypt, a silver cup in a sack, Joseph makes himself known, Jacob goes to Egypt, Joseph and the famine, Manasseh and Ephraim,Jacob blesses his sons, the death of Jacob, Joseph reassures his brothers, the death of Joseph.

Such a wide scope of scripture.

How can it be anythin but true of events and people, a miracle of recording!
