20181123 – Friday –  Animals in the Bible.

Today I received notification of the draft program for the Women @ Well once a month (Friday) study at Hyde Park ecclesial hall.

I am to be the first leader of our little group of women’s class members, and my subject is to be “Animals of the Bible.”

It isn’t going to be hard for me to prepare, because I have been transcribing studies and lectures on all sorts of Bible subjects for years and years now.

I store each study in my Scrivener program and so I am able to “search” on all studies by just a single word.

So if I search “animals” I will come up with everything Jim Dillingham has spoken about on “animals,” but I will probably have to search on other words too.

So by “plagiarising” his immense body of work, I should be able to put together a pretty valuable work on his studies of “animals of the Bible.”

Also Neville Clark did a series on Job, and of course there are a number of animals contained in his studies.

And about the “plagiarising,” well, no one in Christadelphia has “Copyright” rights over anything at all that emerges from God’s word.

It is freely received and freely given by all members.

I did a talk last year on “The daughters of Zelophehad,” and did the same using Ron Cs study on the subject.

I edited it and reduced it down to a talk of about 1/2 hour’s length.

I asked Ron’s permission and he sent me all his  ppts that he had prepared for when he originally gave the talk.

I love the sharing that goes between us all, and I get so excited every time I learn something new.

I love our little group of women.

There are about 10-12 of us, all very strong and capable women, who have been gathering together at Hyde Park for years and years now.

I don’t think there would be too many groups where such strong bonds are formed between women.

Lainie P and Sue C are the wonderful organisers of the group.

Sue is the wonderful sister who rushes around before a class watering all the plants at the hall and putting out the chairs and organising the food and coffee and organising the washing up of the dishes afterwards.

Then Laine is the one who makes an agenda and asks us for anyone sick or in need for the month so we can all pray for them.

These are all confident women, who come to the group to learn from each other.

Everyone takes a turn.

Some of the talks are brilliant, some are average, but all are well prepared and there is always something to learn.

And I have realised that we are soon to be entering ANOTHER year in our “waiting for the return of our Lord,” and in one more year I will be 80 years of age!

Surely, the return of our Lord and Master must be soon.

Soon “the trumpet will sound, and the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first and we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (precede) them which are asleep, and those that remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord,” 1 Thess 4 v 15-

Maybe, in my life time! because we are surely “the last generation.”

And now my new way of eating for yesterday to care for my mortal body.

Just getting out of bed.

Yes, I am but haven’t just yet, God to go to Inc cafe.

Darren: Put this on fb today

Probably one of the most upsetting videos to watch, especially when you see the amount of plastic come out of a shark’s stomach, or a 5cm plastic objects it of a sea turtle’s nose.

This is our generaltion’s challenge and responsibility to. Make things right, and ultimately save our oceans and planet.

The solution.

Use less plastic, recycle, use reusable containers and products. Buy sustainable, think before sending something to land fills.

As CDs you should be caring for the planet, not just waiting for God to come and fix it.

Fay: OK, I will.
