 20190108-Tuesday- Shopping at local IGA

I had the most wonderful sleep last night.

When I woke up it was after 8 am so Helen had gone off to work.

I sat in the lounge and chatted to Alex and finally set up my  computer and spent the morning updating everything.

I use my phone and ipad and rarely use my computer.

But I can access my  external hard drive on my computer and not on my ipad and so I used the opportunity of his free day to update and look at my photos.

Later on in the morning, having run out of all m food, I decided it was time to go shopping.

I drove to the local IGA way which was only a short distance from Helen’ s house and found a park right out the front of the supermarket.

The first thing I found was that the deli section in the store has a section of cooked meals.

I bought some chicken wings and some roasted vegetables.

I went straight outside and find a seat and sat on it and ate this meal.

It was very tasty and cost only $8.

Then I went back inside and went to the vegetable and fruit section, and chose the usual food from this section.

Then I went to the deli section again and purchased some roast beef and finally some tins of fish, and Safcol brand.

Home again where I packed up all my computing stuff and put it all away and then I decided to visit Karen S at her home.

I didn’t have her phone number so could not ring her to let her know I was coming.

I knocked on the door and soon was saying hello to both Karen and Ellie.

Ellie is pregnant and is expecting her first baby and so this means that Karen is expecting her first GRANDCHILD and she is vey excited about it.

Karen had just finished a photo shoot and was now home to work on the photos, so I knew we could only spend a short time before she had to go back to work.

It was so good to see her.

She and my daughter Helen have been friends since they were both only 8 years old and Helen was often staying at Karen’s family’s place and Karen at mine.

The time passed too quickly and I said “goodbye,” and took one photo, and I was soon on my way back home.

Helen was home from work before I got home and was sitting in her seat in her garden, her “thinking spot.”

And now I am in my trailer sitting cross wise as I do, and writing up my diary for the day.
