 20190109 – Wednesday – Visited Colleen B. with Helen.

Today Helen and I visited Colleen, my daughter-in-law.

We had a lovely catchup and meal together.

Colleen’s house is in a lovely location with a stream and bridge running through their back yard.

It didn’t seem to take as long to get there as when I drove there for Colleen’s birthday, but that was at night and it is not surprising it seemed so much further, and probably my GPS misled me as well.

Back at home I went into my trailer for a nap and took a photo of the view out the back of my trailer.

Then it was time to sit in the back yard and enjoy the peacefulness of Helen’s yard.

Lara has a bunny and it is the friendliest “poo-iest” bunny ever.

It jumps up on my lap with no fear whatsoever, but leaves its mark where ever it sits for even half a second.

On Friday I arranged to meet up with Annabel and Colleen at The Fortunate Son” for lunch.

Colleen message me that she would be a bit late because she had a load of washing on that she wanted to put out and Annabel texted that she would be a bit late too.

So I sat and worked on my computer until they both arrived.

The food was absolutely delicious.

I had poached eggs and bacon on a bed of spinach and avocado.

We were chatting away when in through the door came Jenny Mansfield.

So Jenny joined us too.

We eventually moved out into a decking area under umbrellas for the rest of our stay.

While I was eating lunch, I received a text from Sarah my Grand-daughter-in-law inviting me to visit her at her home.

She asked me to come today, and said that if I left around 3 it takes 3-4 hours to get there.

So that’s what I did.

I said goodbye to the girls, met Helen in her car near her home and then began my journey to visit with Sarah.

I have only ever been anywhere near Bairnsdale once before when I went to a camp at the Smith’s farm at Traralgon, but that was many years ago, when my children were small.

But I remember I had my little trailer even then.

The scenery on the way to Sarah’s place was absolutely beautiful and I so enjoyed the journey.

I arrived at around 6.30.

Sarah had a large front yard where I was able to park my trailer.

It was great to see my two g.grandies again.

Sarah made me a salad and then she and I sat down in the little lounge to chat.

Her family has welcomed another member into the family, a puppy.

He is completely untrained and so those first few days/week of puppy antics and yapping and whining is all happening.

This was why Sarah had wanted me to come on the 19th and not today, but had changed her mind and hoped the puppy would not be too troublesome.

Well, last night, Friday night, I slept in my trailer by the side of Sarah ‘s house.

The street they live in is vey wide with a nature strip in the middle.

I sat on the tail gate of my trailer for a short while, enjoying the night sky.

The moon was so bright and the air was so clean and crisp.

When I woke up in the morning Sarah and I took everything out of my trailer and Sarah washed all the sheet and pillow slips.

When everything was dry, she helped me make the bed up again and put everything into the trailer in its “right spot.”

When all was ready, I said “Goodbye to Sarah” and Boston and Savvy, and soon was on my way.

I drove to the Apex Park at Glengarry and found myself a nice quiet spot to stay overnight.

I sat on my tailgate and ate my dinner, and then sat crosswise in my trailer to write up my diary.
