20190130 – Wednesday – Bremer Farm

I went to Brighton Beach, and found I had forgotten to take with me my little esky containing my breakfast.

So, reluctantly (of course), I decided to buy my breakfast at the Brighton Hotel.

I ordered an omelette and a mug of flat white and then worked on my story until my meal came.

After breakfast I drove home and changed my clothes and picked up my esky, which would now become either my lunch or my dinner.

I drove towards Bremer farm and texted Selena to find out whether she was going to be home during the day or after work in the evening.

Selena said that she was home, but needed to go to Strath for business, and so we agreed to meet at “The Mean Machine” where I could wait until she arrived.

Selena arrived eventually, and she had a number of business calls to make and receive, so I sat and worked away on my computer until both batteries finally died.

Then I drove to Bremer farm and Selena stayed to do a few more chores.

I arrived at Bremer farm and parked my car under a peppercorn tree that is beside the house.

I went through the “study” into “my” bedroom and began to sort myself out.

I put my big duna on top of the bed and my own pillow on top.

I intend to sleep on top of this, so that I do not use Selena’s sheets.

I put the fan on, and then put all my “technology” out in the 2nd room to recharge the batteries.

And then I lay down for a “nanna nap.”

From a prone position I surveyed my new “home.”

Here I was, so comfortable in a very large double bed, in an old-fashioned room with a high ceiling.

Even though outside it was quite hot, inside it was much cooler and with a fan on, it was just beautiful.

I felt very much at home and relaxed.

I think this is going to be the first of many stays here at Bremer farm.

Selena arrived home eventually, and she too went for a lie down to recover from her activities in Strathalbyn.

Selena cooked some pork chops and a salad for dinner.

I told her that I had brought my own food with me, but she told me to use my food for breakfast take next day.

So I did!

After dinner, we went into the lounge and watched “Mama Mia” the latest version.

THIS Mama Mia, gave glimpses of the stories of he 3 generations of women in the original movie, so you had to be quick to keep up with the complicated and convoluted dialogue.

But with Selena there to “interpret,” I managed quite well.

Then it was bedtime and I found that I could hang my iPad on the open door of a small wardrobe that was beside the bed, and so I could listen to JD’s study 27 for a while.

I am almost finished transcribing this study and will be soo glad when it is finished, because it has taken me an incredibly long time to get this one done in and around my busy life.

I slept very well and when I woke in the morning I felt happy and so relaxed.

The air is sweet and pure here in the “country,” and I just love the feel of it.

I began to eat “my” breakfast, but Selena insisted on frying an egg and some bacon, so I ate that as well as a few things I had brought in my little esky.

I went for a walk around the buildings on the property and took some photos.

Soon I will leave on my way back to town, and home.
