20190205 – Tuesday – Barossa Valley

Today was the day, or I thought it was the day, when J & P and Jeff and I were to celebrate our combined birthdays by visiting one of the wineries in the Barossa Valley.

We have done this for some years now.

But as is quite normal for me, I got the day wrong.

It was supposed to be on the 5th, Tuesday, not the 4th Monday.

So we arrived, early for Jeff, and on time for me, because this time Jeff was travelling with me in my car, and so we were early.

J & P were very good about it, and it so happened that there was nothing happening on Monday for them, that could not be cancelled, so we went in J’s car to Saltram’s Winery.

We have been there before, but not for a long time

So we ordered our meal, porterhouse for Jeff and I and Medallions of lamb for J & P.

We had an enjoyable meal, but J refused to be photographed, “Because he knows what I do with photographs”… sigh!

On the way home we stopped at a smallgoods  butcher and Jeff and J purchased one or two items.

By chance, Margaret E was in the shop, and Roger was in the car.

It was good to see her because we haven’t seen her for a long time now.

I love the Barossa and never get tired of driving around those beautiful Adelaide Hills.
