20190313 – Wednesday – Taking car for service with Ali and Trev

This morning Trevor came to pick me up and take me to Jarvis Ford for the servicing of my car.

The reason I was needed to be at Jarvis Ford’s WITH my car (since having lost my license and not being able to drive) was because I had the Motorpass card necessary to pay for the service.

So we drove the car into the service centre reception and left it there and went into the waiting room to wait for Ali to arrive in her car with Eva, Trev and Ali’s granddaughter.

Trevor was feeling quite a bit out of sorts because someone had hacked into his email and had taken over his email account and had been sending out unpleasant messages to all Trevor’s address list of friends.

All of his tech-savvy family had each had time working trying to sort out the problem, but in spite of their instructions he was still having problems getting it all fixed.

We all got into Ali’s car and drove around the corner to where son Jason worked and we parked inside a big hangar like building and Jason came out to work on Trevor’s phone.

With some help from son Darren up in Darwin, they both got the phone sorted with new passwords for each of their accounts.

Ali’s phone was also affected because they are all working off the same account, and Ali had lost all her phone numbers as well.

So Jason soon had that fixed.

It is always quite amazing to me that whenever Trevor has any trouble with any of his electronics, the whole family is there to support him in whatever way they can.

Ali then gave Jason to bags of fertilizer for his garden and then we were on our way to Westfield Marion for a cup of coffee and a chat.

I was very pleased with myself, because when Trevor parked the car and I had to walk to our destination within Marion, I found that I can walk (with my walker) for a much longer distance than I would have been able to walk only a short time ago.

Since I have been eating on the “no-carbs” diet, my health and my fitness has improved greatly.

Previously I would have had to stop and rest every so often before walking such a distance.

This pleases me greatly, because when I have my knee operation in April, I will be in much better shape and ready for it.

We sat and chatted for a while and ate some salad which Ali had purchased at one of the food shops in the mall and then Ali and Trev went off to shop for some of the last items they needed for their trip to Israel which is due in only a few weeks time now.

Then we went an picked up the car from Jarvis Ford, and I paid for it with my Motorpass card, and then Trev drove me home.

So my car is now all serviced and ready for Anne M to drive for the 6 months that I am without my license.

20190315 – Friday – Womens study class at Hyde Park.

Joe and Jenny S came and picked me up and drove me to Hyde Park for the women’s study class this morning.

When we got near to Sue and Geoff C’s place Jenny dropped Joe off to spend some time with Geoff whilst we were at the study class.

Then Jenny drove us the rest of the way to Hyde Park’s hall.

All the ladies were drinking cups of tea and coffee when we arrived.

Then we went into the side hall and all sat around in a circle and Rosalie led the class.

Her subject was “Relationships” and she covered the whole idea of the various relationships between God and his children throughout the Bible.

It was very interesting to look at relationships in an overall way and Rosalie brought out many interesting points on the subject.

When the study was over, we all enjoyed another cup of tea or coffee and a chat before going home.

Jenny drove to Sue and Geoff’s place and we spent a half an hour enjoying each others company, and then Jenny and Joe drove me back home.

So my first week or so has passed without my car, and I have scarcely noticed it, because of my good friends who are so willing to drive me to the necessary places I want/need to be.
