20181105 – Sunday – Cumberland, and Ali’s and Boyle’s.

Sunday, South Adelaide close down because they were running the meeting at Bethsalem.

I decided to go to Cumberland for the morning meeting.

I arrived there at 9.00 am and found only Phil Gore there and no others, so there was no study group happening there.

Phil and I sat side by side, he doing some study and I working on my blog which I finished before the memorial meeting started

I went into the rear hall and sat in “my” seat and Liz Fitzgibbon came and sat with me for quite a long time and we chatted and caught up on everything that has happened since I go back from my east coast travels.

Then the meeting started and Liz and Tim C came and sat next to me with their two little boys Eli and Oz.

When Oz looked up at me it was looking straight into Karen Cs eyes, they are so much alike.

On the other side was Eric Kruger my old buddy from back in Darren’s and my Big Byte Telco solutions days when Eric used to work for us.

He has two little girls, the oldest is a quiet well-behaved little girl and the youngest is a red-headed ball of energy, and she kept me smiling during the meeting at her antics, and Eric’s efforts at trying to keep her occupied and out of trouble, because Esther was not there.

David F was the speaker.

He is originally from Melbourne, but has apparently moved to Adelaide to live.

He was speaking on lessons to be learned from the life of Manasseh.

I caught up with a number of people after the meeting, and then Ali invited me home to lunch.

I went straight to her place from the hall and went around the back and sat at the table on her decking and worked away on my iPad.

I ate the lunch I had packed and so that when Ali came home and prepared lunch for her and Trevor, I just selected the foods that are on my diet to eat.

This is going to work well for me.

It prevents me being hungry when I am out and not having adequate “good” things to eat.

Ali and Trev have also adopted the “low-carb” way of life and so we are pretty well on the same page with diet.

Ali and Trev have purchased a duna for my trailer (well it will go in my unit prior to) which is wonderful.

When my trailer is insulated I will need only the duna and the cotton blanket that Ingrid and Ari R gave me in my trailer.

I am getting very excited now that my health is so much better at the possibilities of travel that lie before me when my trailer is “all fixed up” and ready to go.

Ali and Trev then went off to the meeting and I drove the few blocks to Peter and Jackie Boyl’es place where everyone from South Adelaide were having dinner and socialising after the Bethsalem meeting.

Jackie and Peter have a lovely home in which they have recently done some renovations in the kitchen, so it is now very spacious and gleaming white.

Some of South were in the garden and others sitting around the table in the kitchen.

There were lots of salad items and chicken and such, so there was plenty for me to eat.

Colleen was lamenting that she was being required to update her Cert IV in Training and Assessment qualifications or she could not kept her current job.

And the subject she needed to update was new and she had already attended some lectures on it and it was very difficult to understand.

That would also apply to my Cert IV Training and Assessment qualifications, but since I am not planning to be a trainer any more I do not have to worry about it, thank goodness!

And of course, NONE of it will she ever use in her job because she doesn’t have to devise the training tools in her job, she just has to implement them.

The education world has “gone mad” with red tape I think.

Darren has sent me his latest “blog” entry to edit so I will do that today (Monday).

I went home after being at the Boyles and was in bed by 9.30.

Now for yesterday’s diet “stuff.”

Fay: Wake up on Sunday 4th November 2018.

Darren: Morning, How are u this morning.

Fay: I m well, all dressed and going to Cumberland this morning.

Darren: Sorry, just woke up. Head not ready for a call, haha.

Oh, yes, any reason u r off to Cumberland today?

Fay: Because South Adelaide is closed this morning.

Darren: Oh, why’s that?

Next story is in word on your email to edit.

It is the start of the Big Byte story.

I really do appreciate everything you have done for me Fay.

My life would have been completely different if it were not for u.

Love u!

Fay: Have just read you blog entry and will edit it later today or tomorrow.

Darren: The one I emailed to you in word?

Fay: Yes.

Darren, i it ok if I do the editing tomorrow?

Darren: Sure.

Fay: Spent morning at Cumberland.

Lunch at Ali’s and dinner at Boyles.

Took lunch and dinner with me, fruit and salad and supplemented salad from Ali’s and Boyle’s.

Stuck to diet!

Darren: Ok, good to note, anything u had u think may have spiked it up?

Fay: No, nothing at all.

But have taken no insulin all day, so actually good reading.

Darren: Ah, Ok. That makes sense then.

That’s actually relatively good then, but should still keep to the insulin.

Fay: Have just taken some.

Had lots of energy all day.
