Fay Berry – My Story

Welcome to FayBerryStory.com.

Here is how to get around

This site is divided into the following divisions:

My Blogs
My blogs are about events in my life that have been special such as My Grey Nomad Adventures” and Jeff and Fay’s 1993 trip to Israel.”  and later other special events as they occur.

Books I have Written
I have written two books. The first – “Runaway from Santipore” is about notable people in my family tree that I have information about from diaries, the internet and other sources.

The second book is “The Blacksmith’s Daughter- Vol 1” and this covers the first twenty years of my life up until I got married. “The Blacksmith’s Daughter – Vol 2” will cover later years of my life as I write the stories. This is a work in progress. There are 52 chapters in Vol 1 so enough to keep my friends and family going for a while reading all of that. At present I have only uploaded a few chapters, there are more to come. .

Book Summaries
This section has summaries of books that I’ve read and found interesting.  I like to refer to these and read them again and again so I can remember the “wisdom” principles they cover.

Family Genealogies
I plan to  upload genealogies from my MyHeritage site that will help make some sense of my story, “Runaway from Santipore.”  I did a lot of research to write this book so it is as factual as I could make it but but I have written it as fiction by injecting myself into the story to interview my family members from the 1800s – 1900s..

Other Writings
This section will contain the stories and poems that I have written. It will also contain some of my brother’s stories and poems that he has written over the years.

Bible Studies
Transcripts of Bible studies by various brethren, including associated overhead images used by them.

Family Albums
This section will have family photos taken over the years so that my children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren can have access to family photographs. I am so grateful to Aunty Eileen Durstan  who preserved the photos taken of Jeff and his brother Robbie before his mother died and gave them to me after Jeff and I got married and when my eldest daughter Debbie turned one. Without those photos there would have been no record of the first four years of Jeff’s and Robbie’s life.

This is going to be a work in progress for a long time to come, I believe, but I hope that you my family and friends will enjoy reading the stories of my life.

PLEASE NOTE:  On the bottom of the screen on the right there is often an UP Arrow. Clicking on this will bring up bar with a LEFT arrow. Clicking on this arrow will take you to the previous page. It will help you navigate around.

A lot of my work hasn’t been uploaded yet, and facebook doesn’t make it easy to do the uploading, but when you see headings but no data or pictures, bear with me I am working on it.
