Study 1 – Creation and Adam and Eve by Fay Berry 2018

The creation story is as follows:

“And the earth was without form, and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of waters (Gen 1:2), and God said, Let there be light: and there was light (Gen 1:3), and God saw the light, that it was good, and God divided the light from the darkness (Gen 1:4) and God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night (Gen 1:5). And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also ( Gen 1:16). And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth (Gen 1:17) to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good (Gen 1:18)”  . . . . . read more

Study 2  – Let there be light by Fay Berry 2018

Gen 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light (Gen 1:3). And God saw the light that it was good, and God divided the light from the darkness (Gen 1:4). And God called the dry land earth, and the gathering together of the waters called he seas: and God saw that it was good (Gen 1:10). And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good (Gen 1:12) . . . . . read more

Study 3 – The heavens by Fay Berry 2018

“The heavens declare the glory of God,” says the Psalmist, “and the firmament shows his handiwork” (Psa 19:1), “praise God in his sanctuary, in the firmament of his power” (Psa 150:1). As old Pa Harris, who taught me the truth, way back in 1955, constantly said to me, “As with the natural so with the spiritual,’ and so Ezekiel speaks about the spiritual equivalent of the “firmament of the heavens” saying, “And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above” (Ezek 1:22) . . . . . read more

Study 4 – Earth and sea by Fay Berry 2018

It is only in this last year, since listening to all 35 of Jim Dillingham’s studies entitled “Visions of the Kingdom Age,” and listening to each one about 4 times over because there was so much to take in, that I have come to understand that EVERYTHING in “nature” is shadowing a spiritual “substance;” EVERYTHING!.

Well it took me some time to get my “head around” this concept, but now, every where I look in the Bible, I see types and shadows emanating from all sorts of “substances,” and the Genesis story about the forming of the earth and the seas is no exception . . . . . read more

Study 6 – Grass and all things after its kind by Fay Berry 2018

In God’s creation, each and every individual piece of grass casts a small shadow and as we have discovered previously, there can be no shadow without there being a substance to cast that shadow. So what do you think the substance of “the grass” would be?

Well, if the waters that John saw in Rev 17:15 were “peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues” (in other words, large groupings of people) then an individual piece of grass must represent one single individual from within those larger groupings of families and nations. So “grass” is the shadow representation of individuals from within those larger groupings of families and nations . . . . . read more

Study 7 – Light, day from night, and for times and seasons by Fay Berry 2018

God is the substance of the “shadow’ of the heavens. God is so far above us; even higher than the “heaven of the heavens,” so very far above and beyond us that we could have no hope of “knowing him” if he had not decided to bridge “the chasm” that is fixed between us by sending us his son in “the likeness of sinful flesh” so tat we can begin to understand “His righteousness” andd so that we can become “like him.” He has given us the “heavens” and “the things that are therein,” to teach us about “times and seasons” and “days,” and “years.” He has shown us “unspeakable things” about the “heavens of the heavens”. . . . . read more

Study 8 – Lights in the firmament by Fay Berry 2018

The “going forth” of the sun “is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof” (Psa 19:6).

God put lights in the firmament of heaven to enlighten the whole earth (Gen 1:15) so that the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them” (2 Cor 4:4).

The lights in the heaven, for all their brightness and beauty, are not the substance casting spiritual shadows, but are are simply the “shadows” themselves. They are the shadows of the greater substance, which is Jesus Christ and the moon and the stars derive their light and glory from Him . . . . . read more

Study 9 –  Sea creatures and fowls of the air by Fay Berry 2018

Our God is a generous God, an abundant God. Everything that he has made is “expansive” like his heavens. The waters brought forth “abundantly” the moving creature that “hath life” and the heavens were filled with fowl that he created to “fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven” (Gen 1:20). He planned that his animal creation should “breed abundantly in the earth,” that the earth should be “fruitful,” and his creatures should “multiply upon the earth” (Gen 8:17).

His fruitfulness was such that he wanted “his seed” to be a multitudinous seed and to “increase abundantly and multiply and wax exceedingly mighty,” that the land should be “filled with them” (Ex 1;7), but what he did not want, was an earth that was filled with sinners. He required a “godly seed” (Mal 2:15), promised that one day, innocent blood would no longer saturate and defile the earth. God wanted “his seed” to be as generous as he was Himself . . . . . read more
