20180921- Friday – Hyde Park

It is 7.45 am and I am at the Mediterranean.

Yesterday I spent some hours with my niece at IKEA, sitting in the cafe chatting away.

I have had on and off contact with Christine for years and years now.

We look alike and she is my eldest brother’s daughter.

She and her husband Graham have been good friends over all of that time.

She is very bright which is not surprising because my brother Maynard was nothing short of brilliant when he was alive.

He and my father were engineers and were constantly inventing things.

It was my dad and my brother who made from scratch my little camper trailer which has been my travelling companion for over 30 years.

So I had a great catchup with Christine and we had lots to talk about.

I shared with her the best computer programs I have been using since I saw her last and she took careful note of them because they fit in with her current needs very well.

Then I went home and she went off to the convention centre for a meeting there with a work colleague.

I spent from about 5 o’clock to 9.30 watching “how to” of wordpress and The Brain.

I have only just got my “Brain” up to date again after it upgraded to version 9. Tim Colliver had to help me with the installation of that one.

But there is so much new in the program that, not only did I have to grapple with wordpress itself, but with Fay’s Brain as well.

And I couldn’t find the excellent video I had watched the night before.

The Brain is storage for data that I need to know and I had a WordPress file with all the training videos I needed to better learn how to use wordpress, and I could not find this one video. Sigh, drives me barmy.

Anyway, I did make some progress in WordPress, and did find another excellent video, so hopefully tonight will be better.

So here I am at The Mediterranean as I said, trying to catch up on my thinking before I go to Hyde Park for the women’s study this morning.
