20181115 – Thursday – Swimming, Inc cafe

This morning I woke up feeling quite well, so I got myself ready to go to the Aquatic Centre for a swim.

All the regulars were there.

Bill who goes in the 2nd lane and steams along walking very fast.

He comes in a huge gopher and then works away in a dedicated fashion, up and down the pool.

He passes me and waves.

Then later I spent some time talking to the merry little guy who has a pronounced limp when he comes in.

He is a bowling champion of yesteryear, who has travelled the world with lawn bowls and won numerous prizes for his performance.

His problem is that with bowling you twist on your left leg before you roll the bowling ball.

Years of doing this has messed up his ankle.

The only thing that can be done for him is surgery to fuse the bones in his left leg.

Apparently there is better treatment than that, but not in Australia.

The women in the pool stand around in groups of 2 and 3 and chat about health and other issues.

There is one Asian man, a very cheery bloke who knows everyone’s names and has a long grey beard.

He looks like some form of eastern guru.

So chatting around passes the time pretty well and gets the exercising done.

The aqua exercising goes on in the first two lanes and there are about 40 people attending that.

The trainer yells out her instructions, and everyone complains, but not to any effect.

Everyone has tried that before and NOTHING works, so everyone just “puts up with it.”

But towards the end the woman puts on some nice jazzy music and everyone in the pool and out begins to dance.

Obviously they liked that music, and everyone comments that “if only they would put on music like that all the time, it would be great.

I took 2 eggs with me this morning for breakfast and so I ate these at the pool, and then after I drove home I went to Inc Cafe.

On the way I took photos of many houses and also the sea wall works that are going along the seafront at West Beach.

So, at last they look like they are restoring the sea wall.

Maybe I will be able to swim there this summer.

The boat ramp near the Surf life-saving club is the very best place for me to swim, because the road goes right down, straight into the water.

But this has been roped and gated off for months and months, so no-one can use it.

But maybe now?……

At Inc cafe, I scanned the menu to see if there is a salad that fits in with my diet.

By now they have got used to me asking “what’s in it” to every dish they offer, so this was a small bowl full of carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, with no dressing on it.

They have worked out that I don’t want sugars and additives.

Well, that was nice, but I sent it back to have a dressing of olive oil on top and that was great.

They were happy that they had found something that satisfied me, this time.

Darren’s friends and work colleagues, Hayley and Tenielle  and one other who’s name I don’t remember, recently have joined my friends list on fb, so that’s nice.

Swimming takes up such a large portion of the day I am afraid, but there is no help for it.

I just HAVE to do it for well-ness sake.

Just means I have to work longer during the day to get done all I want to do.

Last night was South Adelaide’s class which was on Luke 21.

I didn’t say much because I had in mind Jim Dillingham’s study but felt I could not convey the information well enough, so didn’t speak much.

11, Visions of the Kingdom Age by Jim Dillingham

This will be the eleventh class in the series entitled Visions of the Kingdom Age, being presented in the Cranston, Rhode Island adult Sunday School that began in the winter of 2014.

In our last class, we were considering the shadow validations for the presumption that there will be 2000 years between the 1st and 2nd resurrections to immortality in our Creator’s plan.

Let us return to a reference we briefly considered in our last class in order to see some of that further depth, width and breadth to this identification of the 2000 years from the death and resurrection of Jesus, to the 1st of the 2 subsequent resurrections to immortality events associated with the beginning and the end of the millennial kingdom.

Let’s go back to Hosea Ch 6 where the prophet declares, reading from v1,

“Come, let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn and he will heal us; He hath smitten, and he will bind us up. After 2 days will he revive us; In the 3rd day he will raise us up. And we shall live in his sight.

Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord.

His going forth is prepared as the morning: And he shall come to us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.” Obviously, this is about the resurrection, being revived and raised up in the third day, being, healed and living in God’s sight, all in the context of two more parallels repeatedly used throughout Scripture to identify the introduction of the millennial kingdom, the dawning of a new day, and the arrival of the latter rains.

We should note there is a very, very pronounced redundancy here. A doubling in Hosea’s prophecy, in fact one of the great tools in plumbing a greater depth in divine communications, is recognising the unique value hidden in the Creator’s tool of precision redundancy.

When we communicate with each other, being redundant is considered unnecessary, and a sign of poor communication skills. However, this is one of the ways our Heavenly Father hides the glory in his expressions from the “wise in their own eyes,” who discount that seemingly needless redundancy.

Let us examine this 2nd redundant expression a little more closely to witness that hidden communication, reserved only for the meek who will inherit the earth, for the circumcised in heart who do not underestimate God.

Let’s look at the time-line Hosea offers those with “seeing eyes” and “hearing ears.”

“After 2 days, God will revive us. On the 3rd day he will raise us up.”

Well, the 3rd day, is after the 2nd day, but that specific form of redundant expression is a veiled reference to the 2 raisings on that 3rd day.

The 2  “healings” and “bindings” expressed in the 1st redundant example.

That will be the 3rd divine day, which is the millennial kingdom. Again we should all be familiar with the definition of a divine day from Psa 90 and 2 Pet 3, that 1000 years is equivalent to 1 day for Yahweh.

When the promise of the resurrection is expressed as happening after 2 days, this indicates being after 2000 years, and the fact that the same promise is repeated as not only “after 2 days,” but also being“on the 3rd day,” is a reference to both of the immortalisation events, at the beginning and the end of that 3rd day, the 3rd millennium since our Messiah’s death and resurrection, the millennial kingdom, the kingdom age that is the focus of our considerations.

This is a match to the timing observation we noted in the 3 accounts of the transfiguration on the mount in the gospels, where the time from the promise of seeing the kingdom to the experience, was defined as both “after 6 days,” in Matthew, Mark, and “about 8 days,” in Luke, again presenting the same interestingly redundant, but complementary, timing definition suggesting a 2-fold application for the beginning of the 7th millennium, that 7th day, which is after the 6th, and after 2 days as Hosea says, that 7th day is defined as, of course, after 6 days, but also the end of the 7th millennium by defining that timing as also about 8 days.

So the expression Hosea makes for the timing of the resurrection as being after 2 days is yet another complementary defining of the approximate 2000 year wait from precedent-setting death and resurrection of our Messiah, to the realised participation of the faithful, the seed of the Messiah, his first fruits

And so on.  I have yet to “digest” this material sufficiently for myself.

Anyway, back to my diet for yesterday

10 units of Novarapid.

2.10 am at. 7.1 sugar level

Darren: That’s awesome.

Fay: 6.30 am at 7.5 sugar level

It is!

Wake up time 6.30 am Thursday 15th Nov 2018.

Feeling quite a lot better.

Darren: No doubt.

Fay: Weight 96.8 kg.

Darren: Taken from google.

The normal blood glucose level (tested while fasting) for non-diabetics, should be between 3.9 and 7.1 mmol/L (70 to 130 mg/dL).

The mean normal blood glucose level in humans is about 5.5 mmol/L (100 mg/dL);

However, this level fluctuates throughout the day.

Fay: I am just staying at the same weight.

But I FEEL that weight is “shifting”, ie smaller tummy bigger muscles in legs and elsewhere.

Darren: So our aim is to now try stabilising your levels between that range over the next few weeks.

Fay: Yes, I will take enough insulin to keep me around 7 in the morning if I can.

And if I’m still only taking a small amount of insulin that will be wonderful.

Darren: Yep, that’s fine, the average is starting to lower again which is good.

Fay: But I am interested that I FEEL thinner and yet staying around the same weight.

I know that I am insulin resistant but why is all the weight in my tummy and not on the rest of my body?

Darren: Don’t know the answer to that, but weight in the tummy for everyone is NOT good.

Fay: Finished swimming and about to drive home.

2 eggs for breakfast – took eggs with me, had a coffee.

I love swimming has done my legs good.

Darren: Good work. Black coffee? Or milk and sugar?

Fay: No, white, no sugar. I just felt like it rather than green tea today.

By the way, many liked that photo of you and David Koch today. What was it you were attending?

Darren: Lol, facebook is social. It is how it works. Farley and Hayley are following your story now.

Fay: Ok. Breakfast, avo, lettuce, spinach, mushroom tomato 1/2 banana and 5 grapes.

Back home now. Getting ready to go to INC cafe to work.

Still got a runny nose.

Had been hoping I would lose some weight this week so dI could wear new dress on Sunday.

I fit it last week, but too tight over the tummy. Had hoped would lose some of tummy. May have but haven’t tried dress on again.

You certainly look good these days, Darren.

Not like that fat kid you were when you were 12-14 on all the MacDonalds “Happy meals” I fed you!!

Darren: Too much fruit.

It is half a banana OR 3 grapes.

U r really struggling with the fruit aren’t you?

Also, where were the fats?

That was basically carbs and protein.

Fay: I covered the salad with olive oil and drank the juice with olive oil when finished.

And I counted the eggs I ate before I swam as all in one meal – breakfast.

Darren: U had Juice as well???

U are actually addicted to sugars, I actually don’t know if you can make the changes needed.

I really hope you can and do.

You know I want you to.

But I read that and I think you probably think you ate really well, when in fact u have likely flooded your body’s with sugars and will spike again.

Fay: Darren, not juice, oil and tomato juice left on the plate after I had eaten the salad with the olive oil dressing.

All I should not have eaten according to you are the grapes!!

Darren: Ah ok, tomato juice (half a glass) is ok.

Yep, I think we are best to just cut grapes.

They are one of the highest sugar fruits.

Fay: It was just what came out of the tomato on the plate and mixed with the olive oil dressing.

Darren: And 3 grapes is not very satisfying anyway.

Fay: Well, 3 grapes taste wonderful to me.

Have you read what Jenni Chand asked?

Darren: Yes, I answered Jenni.

Fruits to stick to – moving forward.

1/2 banana

15 blueberries

4 strawberries

10 raspberries

10 cherries

1/2 apple

1/2 orange

1/3 pear

If you want to mix and match, ie 50% blueberries and 50% strawberries, then just have half of each of the above amounts.

Just responded to her.

Fay: Thanks.
