I woke up at 5:30 and finally got dressed at about 6 o’clock.
I drove to Pinnaroo centre and stopped at the Roadhouse there. Again I had scrambled eggs on toast a flat white and the newspaper to catch up on all the news.
I drove on towards Owen spelt OUYEN. I then decided it was time to take my drugs.
I went to the back of my car to get out my testing equipment, whatever that thingy is called that records my sugar levels.
Lo and behold, I found that I had packed some brie cheese next to my testing equipment. This of course had melted and filled my testing equipment with cheese!
Then I found I couldn’t find my new packet of needles. Iknow they are somewhere in my car, but where I don’t know.
I went to my bag and found two pencils of Lantus and Novarapid (insulin) and used them because they already had needles attached.
Now I am about to head off on the next leg of my journey towards Ouyen.
I drove until 9.42 and then ha a nap for 10 mins or so. Refreshed I drove on.
The rest of the day sped by with lots of annoying little things happening.
I have an attachment that is supposed to plug into my cigarette lighter to hold my phone in a position where I can read the GPS. I had all sorts of trouble with that and in the end it fell to bits.
I am so “unmechanically” minded, but I eventually I managed to put it all together again, but obviously not correctly, because it didn’t do what it was supposed to do,charge my phone.
Then I was trying to used google maps and I wanted to find out how to set it up to avoid tolls. Well, that took me ages to do.
Just hope I can remember what I did today so I can set it up again tomorrow!!!
Anyway, I am at Hay in the Cafeteria at the service station there and I have charged my phone and I am about to drive to the Showgrounds because it is cheap and has showers and such There are other places, but the Showgrounds will do for tonight. Cost $15.
I wish the Wurfel’s lived at Hay as well as at Pinnaroo!
So everyone, that’s it for today.
